Military GPS

The PLGR is the most widely used GPS receiver in the military today. PLGRs are used by infantry as handheld sets, by Artillery to plot precise positions for gun systems, in tracked and wheeled vehicles, and most recently as a replacement for the WRN-6 shipborne receiver on Army watercraft. PLGR is a key element in Task Force XXI, providing real-time, precise position data for all combat elements to the battlefield information systems.
The PLGR is a self-contained, hand-held, five-channel, single frequency GPS receiver that provides accurate Position, Velocity and Timing (PVT) data to individual warfighters and integrated platform users. PLGR supports position location, target location, rendezvous and en-route and terminal navigation.
